2020-10-08 LNG facilities in TX/LA are now added as an overlay option for SV maps. Click the overlay button above the map and choose LNG Facilities.
2020-10-06 New GEFS Extended Daily Composites are available on StormVista. You can find them two ways: (1) under the Long ---> GFS-ENS-Weekly option or (2) under the Features --> Composites --> Daily Composites (Long) option. Direct link for most recent update is here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/weekly-composites-daily Note that for North America, Day 35 is not a full 24-hour period (about 6 hours short), so we only show full days out to Day 34.

2020-10-05 The new GEFS ensemble extended out 35 days is now available on SV under the Long menu (GEFS-ENS-WEEKLY).  Like the CFS and Euro weeklies, we provide 16-20 day, 16-30 day, EIA weeks, Mon-Fri weeks, and Mon-Sun weeks. You can find the latest version here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/gfs-ens-weekly Please note the model updates once a day (on the 0z run) and it takes nearly 24 hours to process with updates arriving at 11 pm EDT.  The latest version available is based on the 10/4 initialization. Coming soon: Daily composites too

2020-09-03 New maps show placement of low pressures in Tropics for three intensity tiers.  Seen an example here: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/model/gfs-ens-suite/12z/tropatl/274-low-pressure-plotter Find these maps in the typical regions for tracking tropical systems either under the Ens Tools tab or the Upper Level and MSLP tab (found in both spots).
2020-09-03 ECMWF is now adding Tropical Cyclone tracks for the 6z and 18z runs for the first time. 2020-08-28 The SV wind generation tables are set up to run live (no reload/refresh needed) starting with the current 12z cycle.  Find it here for ERCOT: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/windgen These page are found by going to the Features menu along the top, picking Renewables, and then choosing Wind Generation.
2020-08-27 As of today's 6z cycle, France wind generation forecasts have been added to CWG: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/sv/windgen/2020082706z/france You can find this in the main menu along the top under Features --> Renewables --> Wind Generation and changing the Region option in the upper left to France.

2020-08-18 You can now choose a combined overlay that shows both wind and solar farms on the same map, which is very helpful for west Texas.  Find the Overlays button just above the maps/times on any map to see what options are available by clicking for that particular map.
2020-08-17 StormVista just added combined degree day forecasts for Europe, Asia, and North America with comparisons to normal and same-model progression tables.  See an example here. You can find this information under the Features menu, choosing WDD, then Daily, and picking the Combined option under the WDD region drop-down in the upper left.
2020-08-17 We now offer thumbnail maps of all the European ensemble members for 10-day tropical system track sustained wind fields.  See an example here by choosing the Genevieve storm in the tabs. You can find this new feature under Features, Tropical Models, and choosing Quick Links.

2020-07-31 The Eastern region map now has low pressure spaghetti maps to see low pressure tracking for the entire East Coast for Hurricane Isaias. Find the map on any ensemble model (American, European, Canadian) and choosing the Eastern region and the Ensemble Tools far right tab. 2020-07-30 New heat and humidity city table information is available with daily model details on dew points and heat index values. 2020-07-29 New National Water Model (NWM) Streamflow and Gage Height Forecasts, Actuals, Flood Stage, and Historical Comparisons available on StormVista.  Example here. You can find this new information under the Features menu along the top and choosing the Hydrology option.
2020-07-23 Spain modeled wind generation forecasts are now available on StormVista. View line charts and tables by going to Features menu, then Renewables, then Wind Generation and choose the Spain region. Grab data via our API: https://www.stormvistawxmodels.com/api#wind
2020-07-23 Medium range models now feature a new map type that shows the running average of the 2-meter temperature change, a helpful feature for when models are coming in live.  You can find this new map type by going to any continental scale map on the medium range models and choosing the surface temperature (Sfc Temp) tab.  As always, you can then toggle to other models, maps, or cycles at the bottom of the page.
