About Us

StormVistawxmodels.com is part of StormVista LLC, with an April, 2007 inception date. In 2008, under new direction and ownership, the focus became delivering high quality graphics of all the major weather models, faster than most other sources.
Additions to our products have been constant and many, and now SVWXM offers over half a million generated maps per day!
Some of these include products that you might not find anywhere else, if at all, like our ENSO graph, which shows the last 30 day anomalies of all the ENSO regions. Or our SSTA and SSTA change maps from around the world that show potentially important changes that can affect global circulation patterns.

For all of our NAM WRF, GFS, and Euro products, we offer the shortest timesteps available-3 hours for the NAM and GFS, 6 hours for the Euro. The ARW and WRF short range models are in 1 hour increments, as is our very own custom SV WRF, which is run out to 180 hours in 1 hour increments!

If you need speed, SVWXM is also your place. Our GFS is on par, or better than any other major vendor, and soundly beats NCEP to the end of the run. Our Euro is live for Platinum subscribers and above, also as fast as you can find anywhere. We offer 850 T anom., 500 Mb Hgt. Anom., and QPF composite maps. Our 850 T anom. composite maps are available even faster!

Professional packages and above will have available GFS and ECMWF change maps, which graphically depict the differences between the model and it's prior runs.
In order to compare models, we also offer ECMWF-GFS, and GFS-NAM Diff. maps.

There are many other maps and plots also available, whether it's GFS MOS, the 10 month CFS climo model, or many varieties of climatological maps. SVWXM has all the tools one needs no matter who the user is.

Much of the graphics for the maps was performed by Donald Van Dyke, Master's FSU. Clark Evans, Ph d FSU, and Shane Young, Masters FSU have also produced some of the images you see. A special thanks to those and others who have worked behind the scenes to build a better product. Jack Ordille, the current President of SVWXM has also produced some of the graphics including many of the recent additions.
