What does MaxRes mean?

Submitted by MRydzik on Wed, 2016-04-20 07:06

MaxRes stands for Maximum Resolution and refers to the highest resolution of each model that we provide on the site.  These increased resolution versions of the models are best suited for regional temperature and precipitation variables as well as wind. These files tend to be larger and update slower than the main model files for each cycle.  You can see MaxRes forecasts for individual cities under the Features menu (City Plots).
